OUR PURPOSE
Starting Line Youth Sports Alliance exists to eliminate economic barriers to sport participation by redistributing new and gently used sports equipment to schools and youth organizations. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive - physically, mentally, and socially through play. We serve kids K-12th grade with an emphasis on ensuring access to sports for young girls.

OUR MISSION
To be a conduit, which aligns community members and the business sector with schools and youth sports organizations by collecting and redistributing sports equipment, ensuring every child has access to meaningful and engaging athletic experiences.
WHY IT MATTERS
We are creating a lasting community impact. Our equipment redistribution model reduces waste, promotes equity, and helps youth programs introduce or expand opportunities for kids to participate in sports. Our impact reports will include indicators of: increased participation, introduction of new sports, and noted reallocation of school funds to strengthen other programs.
WHAT WE DO
We collect community donations of sports equipment and make them available free of charge to teachers, coaches, and youth sports personnel who serve children with economic barriers.
WHERE WE ARE
We serve Washington County, Oregon - primarily Beaverton - with plans to grow. We are currently seeking funding or donated space for our first warehouse, where partner organizations can shop for the gear they need.
